I believe that the 80m DX season should have started by now. However, it is very lonely on 3796 without all of my OLD friends. Taka, JQ2SIX and Takai, JH4CES are the only two regulars at my sunrise and they have both been very weak in the noise. JA8DNV did come by on Saturday morning with a strong signal.
I had a lightning strike on October 1 that took down my 3 delta loop array for 80m. It is back up and working but I still need to do a little tuning.
I had a guest operator, VE3DZ here at the end of October for the CQ WW SSB Contest. He did very well in the contest. I expect Vlad, OK2WX and his wife Paula, OK2YL to arrive on November 25 for a two week visit. He will be operating in the CQ WW CW contest and the ARRL 160m contest.
