MOE DX Group - Usual Suspects

Morning Optimists Eternal DX Group
North American Chapter
"MOE DX Group"
(As in Larry, Moe, & Curly)

We are a small group of North (and Central) American hams who look for ham radio DX every morning before local sunrise on 75m SSB, 40m SSB, and sometimes on 160m.  You can usually find us on 3.796 or 3.799 MHz working Japan or Australia or New Zealand, or ?? in the Pacific.

The only requirement for joining the group in chasing DX is a good receive antenna and a transmit antenna that can be heard beyond your state line.  Please do not call in unless you can actually hear the DX station well enough to get a signal report. Your call twice should be enough if the DX station can copy you.  Do NOT give a signal report nor any of your information until after you have established contact!

Charter members (aka Usual Suspects)-- Everyone has the capability to run 1 KW or more to a very good antenna and to hear a pin drop across the Pacific on a good day. We are available almost every morning and are listed in order of importance ðŸ˜‰, and ability to hear and maybe be heard.

W6UC - Phil - "Dr. DX" in California --- 4 square on 75m -- hears & is heard everywhere!
W9UCW - Barry - in South Texas at the Mexican border & Gulf of Mexico - big vertical and big horizontal loop -- Hi-Z 4 sq rx antenna -- big signal from TX.
HP3AK - Jay - western Panama near Costa Rica -- 3 delta loop array on 75m & Waller Flag rx antenna -- "noise capital of the known universe" -- hears well when QRN is down, 2 or 3 months of the year.
K7FX - Bobby - AZ -- new full size 1/4 wave vertical and lots of radials -- he's a force!  Bobby is working on his receive antenna(s).
W9MK - Mike in Illinois -- struggles with JA sometimes, but works into VK/ZL well.
Others to be added later....

What have we heard / worked lately?

(coming soon)

Bobby, try again. Type something in the box, scroll down and "Publish your comment." Your comment should show up in my email, then I give it a thumbs up and post it. Your new vertical talks "real big", now on to receiving....73.
